Token Genie takes a prompt you have written, rewrites it to cost fewer tokens, and shows you the result. To do that, the prompt has to leave your browser. This page says exactly what leaves, where it goes, and how long anything is kept.
The short version. We send the prompt you explicitly submit to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's API to be rewritten. We do not write prompts to any log or database, and we never sell your data. We never read the pages you visit — only the text you hand us by clicking the button. One hop, then one more. Your browser sends the prompt to our server. Our server sends it to Anthropic's Claude API, which performs the rewrite and returns it. Anthropic processes it as our service provider and, under their commercial API terms, does not use API inputs to train their models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
No other third party receives your prompt. It is not shared, sold, licensed, or used to train anything of ours.
The extension uses Chrome's storage.sync for three values: your install
ID, your licence key if you have one, and a backend URL if you have changed it. That
is the entire contents. Uninstalling the extension removes them.
All traffic is over HTTPS. Licence keys are stored on our side only as SHA-256 hashes, so a copy of our database is not a set of working keys. Card details never reach our servers.
Token Genie is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who receives it, the date at the top changes and the extension will show a notice on next use. We will not quietly broaden what we gather.
tokengenie.app uses the Meta Pixel, an advertising tracker operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. It loads on the home page and on the post-checkout page, reporting page views and completed purchases (the plan and its price, never your licence key or your email) so we can measure whether our advertising reaches people who find the product useful. It sets cookies and can associate your visit with a Meta account if you have one.
This applies to the website only. The browser extension contains no analytics, no advertising code and no third-party scripts whatsoever — nothing about your prompts, your usage, or the sites you visit is reported to Meta or anyone else. The two are separate pieces of software and are worth keeping separate in your head.
To opt out: use your browser's tracker blocking, or Meta's ad preferences. Blocking it has no effect on the product — nothing on this site depends on it loading.
